River Birch tree removals in Centreville, MD
September 24, 2024
A client in Centreville, MD, requested the removal of several River Birch trees and the pruning and shaping of a Magnolia due to their close proximity to the house. One particular River Birch was causing the patio to lift in certain areas and posed a risk to the basement. Additionally, several branches needed to be carefully roped and lowered, as they were overhanging the roof, patio, hot tub, and a gazebo. As the tree was being removed, various pests that had made it their home began to swarm, including yellow jackets, stink bugs, and the increasingly common spotted lanternfly. River Birch wood is frequently utilized for decorative purposes, including wedding decor, due to its attractive, flaky bark that resembles peeling paper. We aimed to preserve some of the wood for this reason, as our daughter is set to marry in December. Nature offers numerous opportunities for creating beautiful and reusable items, and tree removals can often inspire new uses for the wood.
